Denali National Park & Preserve

Full Day

About

Anchorage, Alaska

Denali National Park & Preserve protects one of the most dramatic wilderness landscapes in North America. Dominated by the towering peak of Denali, the park stretches across six million acres of tundra, forests, and rugged mountains. Visitors travel deep into the park to witness wild Alaska—where grizzly bears roam freely, caribou cross open valleys, and the vast silence of nature feels almost endless.

Best Time to Visit

June–September. Summer offers the best road access, active wildlife viewing, and longer daylight hours for exploring the park.

Book an early morning park bus tour. Wildlife sightings are often better early in the day, and the lighting is ideal for photography.
