Cape Point

Half Day

About

Cape Town, South Africa

Cape Point sits at the wild and windswept edge of the Cape Peninsula, where towering cliffs plunge into the restless waters of the Atlantic Ocean. Surrounded by the natural beauty of Table Mountain National Park, the area offers sweeping coastal views, historic lighthouses, and incredible wildlife encounters. Standing at this dramatic point feels like reaching the edge of the continent itself.

Best Time to Visit

October–April. Warmer weather and clearer skies during South Africa’s spring and summer provide the best visibility and ideal conditions for exploring the Cape Peninsula.

Take the short hike up to the old lighthouse viewpoint rather than just visiting the lower lookout. The panoramic views of the rugged coastline are significantly more dramatic from above.
