Lincoln Memorial

1–2 Hours

About

Washington, D.C, USA

Set at the western end of the National Mall, the Lincoln Memorial is one of Washington’s most powerful landmarks. Its soaring columns, reflective setting, and larger-than-life statue of Abraham Lincoln create a space that feels both monumental and deeply moving. Standing here, travelers experience not only a tribute to a president, but also a place woven into the story of American democracy.

Best Time to Visit

March–May and September–November. These seasons bring milder temperatures and comfortable walking weather around the National Mall, while sunrise and sunset offer especially beautiful light.

Visit at sunrise or after dark. The memorial feels far more powerful when the crowds thin out, and the lighting makes the architecture especially striking.
